Meet Mrs. Howard

Hello!  My name is Nicole Howard, and this will be my 15th year of teaching.  I have taught 5th grade, 3rd grade, a 1st and 2nd multi-age, and this is my fourth year with all 2nd graders.  I truly love 2nd grade; such a fun age!

I am originally from Baldwin, WI.  I attended UW-River Falls and graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  In 2011, I completed my Master's in Literacy from St. Mary's University.  I love teaching all the subject areas, but I especially love reading and writing.  In the primary grades, it is so rewarding to watch students connect with favorite stories and authors.  I also love to engage students in the writing process of telling their stories or creating fiction adventures.

Outside of school I stay very busy with my husband and two children.  Mason who is 12, and Ellie who is 9 keep us running to their favorite activities of baseball, football, basketball, and gymnastics.  I also love to run and be active, bake, read, and scrapbook.

I look forward to working with you and your child this year! Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
